The activity
A half day of climbing at the Fenda da Arrábida, a protected geological monument that runs for about 700 m along the south face of the Serra da Arrábida, right above Portinho and Creiro beach.
It is one of the best-known crags in Portugal: orange limestone full of pockets and tufas, with the clear water of the Arrábida coast below. The older sector has easy routes for first-timers; the main walls give experienced climbers steep, pocketed lines up to 30 m.
You climb on top-rope, with the guide setting every anchor and checking every belay. No experience needed, just be comfortable on a steep 15-minute path down to the rock.

Minimum 2 participants per departure. In summer the road to Portinho closes during the day, so we start early.

What to bring
- Shoes: trainers for the steep path, not sandals (climbing shoes are provided).
- Clothes: comfortable sports clothing that lets you move freely.
- Water: 1 to 1.5 L and a snack.
- Sun: sunscreen, sunglasses and a cap. The wall faces south.
- Backpack: a small one.
