The activity
For climbers who already lead sport routes and want to go higher. Over four days you learn to climb routes of several pitches with a partner, from the first belay station to the last abseil.
We cover building and managing belay stations, belaying a leader and a second from above, rope management on small ledges, changeovers, abseil descents and the basics of self-rescue.
The course moves between the limestone sea cliffs of Cabo Espichel, the granite of Sintra and the walls of Santa Luzia, chosen for the weather, so you practise on very different rock.

The course runs with a minimum of 2 people: it is not available for one person on their own. Prices are per person for the full 4 days. Ask us for the next dates; crags change with the weather.

What to bring
- Climbing shoes: your own pair.
- Clothes: sports clothing, a warm layer and a windproof jacket.
- Food: lunch, snacks and 1.5 L of water each day.
- Backpack: a small climbing pack you can carry on the route.
